Since 2008 we have shipped over 1,000 projects for startups and enterprises across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. We specialize in Next.js applications, Python and FastAPI backends, and custom AI agents built on modern LLM infrastructure.
Our story
UnlockLive IT was founded in 2008 with a simple premise: great software should not require choosing between quality, speed, and cost. Seventeen years later that premise still drives every engagement.
Our leadership team works from our Toronto, Canada headquarters. Our engineering team works from our Mirpur DOHS office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The result is a model that gives North American clients Toronto-based accountability and communication, paired with the deep engineering bench strength of our Dhaka development center — delivering world-class software at a fraction of the cost of a fully-onshore team.

How we work
Toronto-managed accountability
Every engagement has a Toronto-based project manager who owns scope, timeline, and your weekly status update. You always know who to call.
Senior engineering, every project
We do not staff junior developers as primary engineers. Senior engineers lead delivery, with mid-level support where it makes sense — never the other way around.
Ship-or-don't-bill mindset
We work in two-week sprints with end-of-sprint demos against acceptance criteria. If a sprint does not ship working software, we do not invoice for it. Period.
Boring, modern stack choices
Next.js, Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS. We pick the boring, well-understood tools that will still be supportable five years from now — not whatever framework launched last week.
Documentation is part of done
Every project ships with an architecture document, API reference, runbook, and onboarding guide. If we got hit by a bus tomorrow, your team or another agency could pick up where we left off.
Honest about what we cannot do
If your project is not a fit for us, we will say so on the first call and refer you to someone better suited. We would rather lose the deal than ship the wrong project.
